5 Ways to Make Fitness Fun

Don’t treat your workouts like a chore - have fun and enjoy that time you are putting into your health.

1. Do something you LIKE

If you don’t like to run, don’t run! I know this sounds really obvious but I’ve seen so many people drop off their fitness game because they don’t like what they are doing. So instead find something that you will look forward to doing instead of making excuses to get out of.

2. Join an Adult Sports League

Switch up your fitness by joining a sports league. I personally love beach volleyball and play on a league once a week. It’s a fun way to move, laugh with friends, meet others and exercise without feeling like your exercising.

3. Hire a Personal Trainer

Trying to work out by yourself can be boring - and it’s easier to slack off. Consider working with a personal trainer. You’ll learn some new moves, explore proper form to reduce injury, have someone to chat with while working out and get that extra motivation to work harder.

4. Workout with a Friend

Replace happy hours with workouts. This gives you and your friend(s) an opportunity to hang out without feeling guilty about that extra glass of wine. Not only will you feel better but you’ll get some good quality time with people you care about.

5. Sign up for a Race

Joining a race or fitness event is the ultimate way to motivate your workout. Better yet, form a team and keep each other accountable and plan some fun training together.
