Essential Oils: Lavender + Peppermint + Frankincense

A few of my favorite essential oils include Lavender, Peppermint and Frankincense. I enjoy using them in my yoga practice, for shifting my mood and other lifestyle hacks.

My favorite ways to use Lavender Essential Oil:

  • Yoga + Meditation: Take a drop in your hand and breathe in the aroma then rub on temples and neck - promotes calming and relaxing feelings

  • Sleep: Place a few drops in diffuser on your nightstand when getting ready for bed and while sleeping

  • Skin - If I get a bug bite or irritation I’ll put a drop on it to reduce an itchy sensations

My favorite ways to use Peppermint Essential Oil:

  • Focus - when feeling scattered I smell the aroma and rub a drop on my neck

  • Good Breath - instead of using a mint I put a drop under my tongue - be careful though because it can be strong, but it’s a nice natural way to freshen the breath

  • Waking Up - I like to keep a bottle on my nightstand for when I’m really sleepy in the morning and open it up and take a couple smells

My favorite way to use Frankincense Essential Oil:

  • Headache - rub a drop on your temples, forehead and back of neck to help ease out tension

  • Yoga + Meditation - rub on the temples, neck and feet to promote feeling of peace and relaxation

  • Stress - diffuse and breathe in the aroma to feel more calm and reduce feelings of stress
